We are listed on a number of holiday letting sites and our guests have made lots of comments on The Cottage and the area. Here are a sample of some of our recent reviews:

"We had a wonderful 10 day holiday in David and Heather's cottage. It is comfortable, practically furnished and equipped with everything you might need for a longer stay. The rear terrace is a pleasant place to quietly end a busy day with a drink or a book. It is also nice to sit outside on the canal at the picnic spot. David and Heather are attentive and extremely helpful. You can contact them for a chat, for tips about the region and for all kinds of practical things. We found the 'blue folder', which David has collected a lot of useful information, particularly useful. If you are a fan of an active holiday, it is useful to have a car. Millepetit is a charming, small hamlet, but it is located outside the civilized world. You also need to go elsewhere to do your shopping. All in all, this is an attractive vacation spot, which we can warmly recommend to everyone." (Google translated)

“Everything thing we needed! Well appointed, comfortable, excellently equipped, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful but discrete owners, one of the best properties we’ve rented in France in over 30 years.”

“Wonderful location! The hospitality of the host and hostess. Thank you for putting the car in front of the location. There was a bottle of rosé in the fridge for us a bottle of milk - so sweet!!!” (Google translated)

Lovely cottage in beautiful location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millepetit. The cottage has everything you need. We particularly found the information about the local area, which the owner had compiled, thoughtful and helpful which added to the enjoyment especially as we only stayed for a week. The weather was fabulous.”

Generosity the keynote. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by Dave and Heather with a welcome cup of tea. Supermarkets were closed so they also provided us with breakfast ingredients. The gite was very clean and well equipped. My first and probably last experience of cooking in Le Creuset pans! There were plenty of condiments available in the cupboards and a lovely bottle of Rose in the fridge. There was a washing machine and outside clothesline in the bbq area. Wifi was very good considering it is in a rural area. There was plenty of information to be had for surrounding districts and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this part of France.”

.... Lovely, very well equipped cottage for a holiday in this area. The cottage is beautifully presented and is in an ideal location to explore the local and wider area by hire car. We thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the Canal du Midi for walks and bike rides and were most impressed that bikes were provided. The owners were welcoming and hospitable..”

"The cottage is as described, beautifully presented and very well equipped. We stayed for 11 nights and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local and wider area by bike and hire car. The cottage is in an excellent location and is spacious and comfortable enough to allow for a longer stay like this. We particularly enjoyed the private terrace and gas barbecue. The owners were welcoming and hospitable throughout our stay. It is an easy 25 minute drive from Carcassonne Airport.."

"What a find! If you are looking for a charming, comfortable, unique place to stay along the Canal du Midi, this is your place. I couldn't have chosen a more perfect location to write, and research canal boats for a future trip. Heather and David are the epitome of good hosts. Attention to detail, and seeing to the comfort of their guests is their top priority. There was even a bottle of wine in the fridge! The cottage is so tastefully decorated and tidy. It is exactly the kind of place I always picture staying; Cheery linens and curtains. Private patio upstairs off a cozy TV room. Large, well equipped kitchen with everything I needed. Stylish, updated bathroom. Sunny bedroom that can be made dark by shades or shutters. Beautiful wood floors. Everything spotlessly clean. It wasn't long before it felt like home to me. The town of Trebes, for restaurants, post office, banks, and shopping, is but a short walk or bike ride away along the canal. And there is a convenient, large supermarket, also within walking distance. Millepetit: I loved that the cottage is located near/on a working farm. I could buy wine from the farmer's wife from her kitchen door, and fresh veggies from the produce barn. I can't say enough about the cottage, location, and hosts. Heather and David's cottage on the Canal du Midi is a great place for respite, a romantic holiday, or as a base to tour the surrounding areas.."
